Senior Partner Asa Hutchinson is a former federal prosecutor, former Member of Congress, former Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the first Undersecretary of the Department of Homeland Security.
Asa's son, W. Asa Hutchinson III, served as a federal prosecutor in Washington, D.C., as an Associate Independent Counsel, and worked as an Associate Solicitor in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and as an attorney in the Office of the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Duane "Dak" Kees is a former United States Army Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps officer. As a JAG officer, Dak taught courses in Cross Examination of Expert Witnesses for the U.S. Army Trial Defense Service and in International Law and Rules of Engagement for the U.S. Army. Dak's service also earned him two Bronze Stars and the Meritorious Service Medal.
Kristi L. Hunter is a mediator certified by the Arkansas Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission and . She was the recipient of the M. Jeff Starling Award as the top student in her class at the University of Arkansas School of Law in the area of labor and employment law, and served as Associate Editor for the Arkansas Law Review.
Heather Kees recently joined the Firm after graduating in the top 15% of her class from the University of Arkansas School of Law. While at the University, Heather was a member of the Arkansas Law Review, served as the Chair of the Board of Advocates' Client Advocacy Competition, and was President of the Business Law Society. As a member of the Arkansas Law Review, she authored an article on the constutionality of Act 60, Arkansas' School Consolidation law, which was published by the Journal. Heather also worked in the legal department of Tyson Foods, Inc. and clerked for two statewide law firms.
