AH Law Group settles Legal Aid labor lawsuit 11-25-2009

The AH Law Group has settled the federal lawsuit filed against its client, Odom Farms of central Arkansas. The complaint, filed in May of 2009 by four migrant workers represented by Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, Inc., asserted certain labor and housing claims under the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and Arkansas contract law. The settlement includes the dismissal of the lawsuit with prejudice without any award of attorney fees or a judgment against Odom Farms. By successfully settling the lawsuit, Odom Farms has been able to avoid protracted litigation and expense.
