An Airman at Wright-Patterson AFB was convicted of rape and assault at a General Court Martial. After the completion of his trial, the Airman retained Duane Kees to submit clemency matters on his behalf to the 88th Air Base Wing Commander. Duane Kees reviewed the trial transcript and reinterviewed witnesses, as well as several witnesses that did not testify at trial.
After an exhausting post trial investigation, Duane Kees submitted a detailed clemency packet to the command, which resulted in the command dismissing the rape charge completely due to lack of evidence.
