A Noncommissioned Officer (NCO) stationed at Camp Casey, South Korea, was charged with unlawful use of cocaine. The NCO retained Duane Kees to represent him at his Special Court Martial, and after weeks of negotiations and a motion to suppress filed by the defense, the command announced that it would dismiss the case in favor of a discharge in lieu of a court martial. Duane successfully advocated that the discharge be no less favorable than a General Discharge. With the General Discharge, the NCO was discharged with his full rank and several of his veteran benefits from his previous enlistment.
