Dallas, Texas.
After investigating the Firm's client for 36 alleged employment violations under the Immigration and Nationality Act and the Migrant and Seasonal Worker Protection Act, the U.S. Department of Labor assessed a significant civil monetary penalty (“CMP”) against the employer. AHLG appealed the decision on behalf of the employer and was able to successfully negotiate a material reduction in the amount of CMPs that had been levied by the Department, without the client admitting liability.
