Schofield Barracks, Hawaii.
An Army specialist was facing charges of Making a False Official Statement and Fraud of Government Funds related to issues surrounding child care and DFAS. After several months of investigation, and with the help of the Soldier’s military attorney, Duane Kees was able to convince the command of the case’s flaws and persuade it that charges should not be filed.
The defense team was able to interview witnesses and gain the necessary evidence prior to the preferral of any charges in order to show that the Soldier had not committed any misconduct. It took over eight months and hundreds of man hours to obtain this favorable outcome.
